Our history
Oil mill, producer of Olives & Olive Oils from France
From dream to reality
In the beginning, there was a dream: to plant olive trees. The first olive trees replaced our market garden (historically established in Pézenas since 1980). Our natural choice was the local variety: the Lucques du Languedoc for the table. The following years were dedicated to planting olive trees for olive oil production. 2001 was the year we harvested a few hundred kilos of olives: our first harvest. For nearly 10 years, our production was delivered to local wholesalers for processing. As the farm grew, it was in 2009 that we took the initiative to process our produce on the estate and sell it directly. In 2010, we processed our harvest for the first time at our premises at the Moulin du Mont Ramus. The mill and its shop opened in July 2011. Since then, we have been modernizing our equipment a little more each year, both for work in the orchards and at the mill. In 2014, we acquired 7 hectares of old olive trees in the commune of Montagnac: Lucques, Picholine, and Ascolana, for table olives. From 2016 to 2017, we acquired around ten hectares, planted with olives for the production of olive oil. In 2019, we planted 16 hectares of olives for our future organic olive oil production.

GROWING CONDITIONS "Lucques du Languedoc" is specifically grown at altitudes not exceeding 300m on relatively calcareous, well-filtered soils. Lucques du Languedoc grows well exposed to the south for maximum sunshine. A low number of rainy days (between 450 and 800 mm per year), combined with abundant sunshine (2,500 and 2,900 hours of sunshine per year), as well as a high number of days with strong winds, characterize the Lucques du Languedoc production area.
THE DIFFERENT RANGES OF OLIVE OILS

THE MILL Each oil is unique; our extraction line allows us to process small volumes of olives. This way, we obtain more than 12 different oils, which may or may not be blended together.
